Seems that the MP3 decoder initially is locked, depending the country in which the system will be sold. Does anybody know more hidden of undocumented features for this device or other Cambridge Audio gear? Thnx,

Advice on Low Cost System by Martino
I am planning to buy a low-cost hifi or home-theater system. I will use it for music (80% ) and movies (20%). I already have a Phillips DVD player. I will connect to the system the DVD player (used for CD too) and an IPOD My budget is 400/500 Euro I have identified some entry-level HT systems (Onikio, Yamaha or Kenwood systems) that fit my budget. But maybe an hi-fi would be better, for music.

Advice on setting up a system based on compressed audio files by full-duplex
Http://www.neodigits.com/new/body/products/Xline/x5000.asp I have one of these, a most excellent piece of kit. Connected to my network I can access my servers hard drives and my flac (lossless) music collection. Has the added bonus of upscaling downloaded divx films to my LCD panel. You don't have to use a network, it has usb connections so you could just add an external hard drive. Resonable...

To all fans of Chill / Lounge Music - So you think you know your stuff ? by Steve
If so please please can you identify this track & artist ?. It's purely instrumental so I've no lyrics to give you. The only thing that gives it some form of uniqueness is that the artist(s) whoever they are, have sampled some dialog from the film Body Heat. Sound sample below http://www.stmarysblackburn.ac.uk/misc/unknown.mp3

512 meg MP3 player: disk full after 120 meg transfer by [email protected]
SumVision cheapo USB-stick MP3 player 512 megs. Very clunky user interface. Virtually unusable. Eats batteries. I ripped 110 megs of MP3's to a folder called Highway 61 Revisited/ , dragged them to the USB drive and they played alright. So then I ripped a CD to a folder called LondonCalling/ , dragged and dropped. It copied about 5 megs worth across and then I got a message that the USB drive...

Arnii Krooliar is on the march! by George M. Middius
Jenn said: I take TOTAL responsibility for my actions. YOU are the one who won't admit that you lied by altering quotes. Why is that? Arnii loves his religious devotions, you know. Speakers for Linn Classik? by Paul
I currently have a set of Linn Katans which I have used with my Classik for some time but am contemplating buying something with a bit more bottom end. I have looked at the Dynaudio Audience 52's and they appear to get good reviews (not demo'd them yet) but wondered whether anyone had any specific experience of replacement/upgrades to the Katans for use with a Classik? I plan to buy a...
